Updated Hurricane Outlook

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) updated their projections today for the rest of the 2011 hurricane season in the Atlantic basin.  With the possibilty of La Nina redeveloping in the Pacifc Ocean, vertical wind shear should be limited for most of the season.  And, since Atlantic Ocean water temperatures are “exceptionally warm”, conditions will be favorable for above normal tropical storm and hurricane development.  The complete report from NOAA can be found here:  Hurricane Outlook.
