Storm On Track To Pummel New England

The two low pressure systems that are forecast to consolidate into a powerful blizzard over southern New England Wednesday, are moving toward the mid Atlantic region tonight.  The storm is expected to be over the eastern tip of Cape Cod with the central pressure dropping from 1012 millibars this evening to 984 millibars by 1:00pm on Wednesday.  As the storm forms and pulls away from the mid Atlantic tonight, 1-3″ of snow is expected around Baltimore.  From New York City to Boston, however, the strengthening storm will likely drop 10-20″ of snow.

  1. Good Day Tom, Enjoy your forecasts each and every day. Been a fan for a lot of years. Do you think in general with this storm that we got the amount of snow you forecasted last evening? Thank you for teaching me a lot over the years about the atmosphere. Take care, Your Faithful Fan, Roland Klages
