Snow Reaches Florida

The latest storm to develop in the very active southern branch of the jet stream has delivered snow way down south.  At 3:00pm Crestview, in the Florida panhandle, reported light snow with a temperature of 34F.  A little farther east, Marianna, FL reported light snow at 5:00 p.m. with a temperature of 33F.  In parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia the snow has been heavier:

Dekalb, MS: 8″
Shreveport, LA: 6.1″
Belleville, AL: 6″
Macon, GA: 2″
Atlanta, GA: 1″

Right now it looks like this storm will stay south of Baltimore, but might get just close enough to bring a few flurries to the area Saturday.
