Early Evening Snow Forecast Update

With 60.4″ of snow so far this winter at BWI-Marshall, it looks like we’ll smash through the old record for the snowiest winter, which is 62.5″ set in 1995-’96. And we still have most of February and all of March to go!

  1. So, how come on Saturday, at 11:45am, the official BWI snow total was 26.5″ and we were only 0.2″ away from the all-time record. Then, after the storm is over, the official BWI total dropped to 24.8 (or something close). Was the “official” weather recording wrong? How did we lose nearly 2″ of snow when I remember pretty well it was snowing like crazy between 11:45am and 3:30pm and BWI should have ADDED another couple of inches, at least.
