Erika Forms

Tropical Storm Erika has formed in the Atlantic.

Erika’s winds are estimated to be 50mph with higher gusts and the storm is expected to move to the west-northwest, gaining some strength but remaining a tropical storm.

The predicted storm track is shown on the satellite image as red markers. Tropical storm watches have been issued for the northern Leeward Islands of the Caribbean.

By the way, the local summer numbers are in so check out Tom’s blog entry on the summer summary.
