Fast track for Preakness?

Preakness_track_conditions

Saturday’s run of the Preakness Stakes will be the 134th version of the race, and while scattered showers are expected in the area, historically a fast track is a good bet.  Even on days when rain has moved through the area, track officials at Pimlico have usually been able to keep it dry enough for fast conditions.  In fact, 93 of the 133 races so far have been run on a fast track.  The last time the track was not listed as “fast” was back in 2003 when it was listed as “Good” at post time.
