Nor’easter On The Move

Low pressure that was just north of Charleston, SC late Sunday afternoon is moving northeast and showing signs of reorganizing near Cape Hatteras, NC. The lowest pressure at the center of the storm has been holding near 1001 millibars. The late Sunday evening model runs continue to track the storm northeast toward Cape Cod on Monday, producing moderate to heavy snow on the west side of the storm track through late morning in the Baltimore area. Snowfall totals are still projected to be in the 3-6″ range around Baltimore with the potential for 6-9″ in spots, especially south and east of Baltimore. This should be the biggest snowfall in Baltimore in over a year…

Last snowfall of 2″ or more: 2.4″ on January 17, 2008
Last snowfall of 4″ or more: 4.7″ on December 5, 2007
Last snowfall of 6″ or more: 13.1″ on February 11-12, 2006
