Next Storm Update

Models continue to bounce back and forth on the upcoming coastal storm potential. One model’s snow accumulation forecast shown below is an update of the forecast posted in the previous entry.

It is a really big difference. The DEMARVA Peninsula is still targeted to receive the most snow, but only in the 1-4 inch range. West of the Bay, a trace to less than 2 inches would be most likely at this stage of the forecast give and take. Garrett County could see up to 6 inches of snow.

The start of the precipitation is less than 24 hours away and there is still time for some forecast fine tuning, but, at the moment, the pressure is off a little bit. We’ll see what happens.
