Arctic Air Keeps Coming

tt_am_lows_15jan09

For only the 5th time on record, Bismarck, North Dakota dropped to 44 below zero or colder.  This morning’s record low of -44 was the second coldest temperature on record at Bismarck, surpassed only by the -45 reading on Jan. 13, 1916 and the -45 on Feb. 16, 1936.  This frigid air mass is slowly spreading southeast.  Expect very cold conditions in Maryland Friday and Saturday.  Bundle up, take care of neighbors and keep your pets warm.
