It’s A Wrap

2008 exits with a blast as a compact storm moved across the area Wednesday. Moisture was limited to a few sprinkles and flurries but the wind was significant as the storm strengthened on its’ way to the ocean. Gusts were clocked into the 60s during the day and power to thousands of homes and businesses was knocked out.  Temperatures fell from the 40s into the 30s during the day but the winds made it feel like it was in the teens and 20s much of the time. Below is a sampling of some of the strongest winds.


Here is a quick look at how the year turned out.


So now it’s out with the old and in with the new.
