October 2008 Stats

tt_october_stats1
In sharp contrast to October 2007, this year October checked in much cooler and drier. Last October tied for 4th warmest on record with an average temperature of 64.4°, but this year the average temperature dropped to 55.5°. Last October featured 5.85″ of rain, but this year we had just 1.27″ of rain. So we went from warm and wet to cool and dry. What to expect for November? The official 30 day outlook from the National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center calls for a slight chance of warmer than normal temperatures and equal chances of dry or wet weather.
