Ike Wednesday Evening Update

Below is a colorized satellite picture of Ike transmitted late Wednesday morning.

Ike is now a category 2 hurricane with 100 mph winds. The storm is moving west-northwest at 8 mph. Ike is forecast now to reach category 4 with winds around 135 mph sometime early Saturday along the Texas Gulf coast. The highest odds for landfall location at this time go to an area between Galveston and Corpus Christi.
