April Ups and Downs

We have been experiencing typical April swings in temperatures. Mid 60s and low 40s are typical highs and lows for this time of year. The above chart shows the trend for high temperatures recorded last week and projected into the week ahead. We will have to wait about a month for consistently milder temperatures so don’t put out those tomatoes yet.

As far as rain is concerned, we are still dry.

So far, February is the only month in which the Baltimore area has experienced above average precipitation. The year is running 2.84 inches below the seasonal average. The dry forcast of the next few days will do little to change the numbers
