Gabrielle Forming?

The National Hurricane Center will be keeping a close eye on an area of clouds and showers off the Georgia/Florida coast. A U.S. Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter plane may be sent into the developing low pressure system this afternoon to see if it is taking on tropical characteristics. The next name on the list for storms in the Atlantic basin is “Gabrielle”. Computer models are indicating strengthening of this system over the next 3 to 4 days with high pressure moving off the New England coast acting to steer the storm toward the Carolinas over the weekend. Stay tuned!
