Showers and thundershowers moved across the area this morning and an approaching cold front will help to trigger additional scatttered activity later today. The SPS has placed the region in the “Slight Risk” category for severe storms today & tonight.

Hurricane Dean continues its’ westward trek, showing signs of better organization and strength. Two planes will be flying into the storm today; an Air Force Hurricane Hunter and a NOAA research aircraft.
